I'm with you in terms of giving up on this place. I think it's laid out poorly, the service has been lacking and the prices are completely unreasonable for the quality your receive. I live in the building and I'd rather walk up to Mr. Coco's on Myrtle then give these guys anymore of my business.

Stopped in today and asked about the hours. Right now they're opening at 7:30 or so and closing at 7:30 or 8 on week nights and 6 or so on the weekend.

They'll also have a window open for coffee soon to serve the bus stop on Park, and that should be open at 7 daily.

I stopped in yesterday and was very impressed by the food selection. The space is very clean, and the staff if more then friendly. The guy working over at the fish counter was more then willing to educate me on the different choice of fish; I will be back here in the near future.

I stopped by yesterday to see what the store had to offer and was very pleased. THe produce was excellent and they had a great selection. I tried the fresh sushi and was impressed. If you are a Trader Joe's or Whole Foods patron, live in or around Fort Green, Clinton Hill, or Bedstuy you should definitely buy your groceries here instead of making the trek to Park Slope or Brooklyn Heights. On the corner of Park and Washington go shop enjoy!!!!

another point on the coffee is that they'll have what looks to be a pretty great hot coffee setup, which makes me think I might stop in on my way to work from time to time if the prices aren't bad.

Price, price, price. It's what it will really come down to, I think, but they've said all the right things on that front so far.

The meat and cheese looks great, but honestly I'm most thrilled by the bags of Gimme Coffee. It'll be nice not to have to walk all the way to Choice Greene to buy decent coffee beans. I live about a block and a half from here. Also, seems like they can maybe keep prices down because the family owns the building; they're presumably getting a deal on rent.

It didn't seem overpriced, but I didn't really give everything a good look. The one thing I do remember was that eggs were expensive because they only had organic ones. I'm fine with having the option of organic food, but I don't like when it's the only option and it's way more expensive than otherwise.

The owners have made it very clear they hope to offer prices significantly lower than Whole Foods, but it will remain to be seen how well they can manage that.

When I was there on Monday, a lot of produce was marked way down because it had been sitting over the weekend. The base prices seemed reasonable, though.

so, let's keep an eye on it and see how things shake out. I haven't given a good look at the deli or meat prices yet which are what I'm most interested in.
