Pancakes, Pancakes, Everywhere!

This morning I decided for the first time in a long while to make pancakes.  I like pancakes - a lot - but they're kind of a rare treat for me since I can get tired of them pretty quickly.  This morning kind of felt like a pancake morning for whatever reason.  Thanks to a suggestion by Olivia, I made some banana walnut pancakes, which reminded me that I had some pictures of our breakfast at her family's house in Boston where we'd also had pancakes.  Imagine that!

First my banana walnut pancakes, which really weren't anything special, but came out delicious.  This is just Bisquick along with some sliced up banana and chopped walnuts thrown in the batter.  There's really nothing to it, so I'm not going to try and gussy them up by posting a recipe.  We had them along with some Vermont maple syrup that I had lying about.

Making pancakes with Bisquick really isn't difficult, so there's not much more to say.  Make sure the batter is smooth, I guess?  That's the ticket.

Olivia's mother made some amazing homemade whole wheat walnut pancakes when I was there a few weeks ago, and I of course took some pictures.

Instead of maple syrup, we used homemade brandied peaches (from the same peach tree that produced the peach salsa) along with some bangers and fresh strawberries.  Tough to beat that for breakfast.
