I'm down in Florida for Thanksgiving, and last night we wanted something for dinner that would be good, but quick to make. Digging through the freezer I discovered half a bag of raw shrimp and another half a bag of frozen steak strips. A surf and turf pasta concoction ensued.
Nothing really innovative or difficult here, so I'm not sure it's worth even putting up a recipe. I basically through some olive oil, butter, garlic, red pepper, and capers with salt into a pan where I sauteed the shrimp and steak.
The only trick with the pasta was stirring in a little bit of butter, oil, and pepper before plating to ensure that the penne was evenly coated. Add the shrimp and steak and a little parmigiano reggiano and a little more pepper and you're done.
